St Albans Saints have acted quickly to replace the outgoing George Tsiakalakis, bringing in Ryan Filipovic from Altona City.
Filipovic returns to the NPL after a short stint for State League side Altona City, having previously played for Werribee City and Melbourne Knights.
“[I believe] we can achieve more [and] personally some of the other teams will be in for a surprise when we play them,” Filipovic said of his new side.
“I think most of the boys at the club know what has to be done to help [us] remain in the NPL.”
Filipovic is Kruni Razov’s sixth addition this off-season as Dinamo will be looking to cement its place in Victoria’s top flight.
I’m looking forward to being a part of [the club] and I have to thank Kruni [Razov], Josip [Loncaric] and Jason [Xerri] for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the Dinamo family.”
Meanwhile, Moreland Zebras have signed dynamic attacker Nick Niagioran who has most recently had a brief stint this year with relegated side Richmond SC.
Prior to his time at Richmond, Niagioran played for Malvern City upon return to Australia in 2015 after a period in the U.K.
The forward is the third player this off-season to make the switch from Ricmond to Moreland, following the arrival of Javier Marangos and Kaspar Scheiber last month.
