South Melbourne has announced the signing of a third Queensland youngster in two days, as Ajdin Fetahagic joins from NPL side Queensland Lions.
Fetahagic, 19, joins Luke Pavlou, Jesse Daley and Liam McCormick as coach Chris Taylor’s recruitment is heavy on those hailing from the Sunshine State.
Though most recently plying his trade for 2016 NPL Queensland Premiers Lions, Fetahagic also has some experience in Europe, having signed his first professional contract with Bosnian side FK Velez Mostar.
Meanwhile, Moreland City has also announced a new signing this morning as midfielder Sean Sacco joins from State League side Keilor Park.
The 25-year-old has been a central figure at Keilor Park but after eight years, was looking for a change.
“When we became aware Sean may be looking for a change we moved really quickly,” Moreland City coach Adrian Mathers said.
“He was certainly a player well known to us. Someone we had admired, not only for his loyalty to Keilor Park over many seasons, but for his obvious natural ability.”
Sacco joins veteran defender Felix Rosman and attacking players Ben Osei-Safo and Jay Kelly to be the fourth new face at Moreland City in the off-season.
